I'm fascinated with the quality of light
in the Sonoran Desert landscape, while the light filtered through the more
humid atmosphere of Europe makes timeless the buildings and landscapes there.
I want my viewers to experience again the joy of these special places and
times. Painting En Plein Air (on location) painting is a wonderful
experience and nothing beats it for getting the "feeling" of a
place or a moment into the painting. I often teach plein air watercolor painting
at the Art Institute of the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. |
